In Loving Memory of
Mark Bunker Jr. # 236

1985 – 2020

Christian

Amateur/Pro Motocross Racer
1996 – 2006

BNSF Railroad Carman

Mark was born and raised in the Pacific Northwest. He enjoyed motocross, hunting, fishing and all things outdoors.

Mark started racing Motocross at 11 years old. His Dad surprised him with his first race bike a YZ80. The rest is history, he was in love with racing from that day.

This song “Friendship” by Chris Stapleton was played at Mark’s Funeral Service. It was sung by a dear family friend Justin Hill. This song really seems like it was written with Mark in mind. It truly speaks to the kind of man Mark was. A true friend….

Funeral Service Eulogy

On behalf of my family, I would like to begin by thanking everyone that is here today and for those who have sent their condolences. We have received countless phone calls, texts, flowers, meals, visits, and thoughts and prayers they have been both comforting during this difficult time and have been a reminder of the impact that Mark had on so many others.

We know Mark is looking down right now on this and us, and we truly believe he knows just how loved he really was.

What can I say about the worlds greatest son, brother, boyfriend, father, and friend. Mark was honorable, he was kind, he was more than fair, he was sweet, he was funny, he was gentle, he was a patriot, he loved God and family, and he was so loving and giving. He cared with a passion unlike anything we have ever seen.

He worked hard at everything he put his hands on and created magic. He touched so many. We know we have all heard this before, and I hadn’t really realized it until now, that life is a lot shorter than any of us realized, and you just don’t know what you have until it’s gone.

Mark was greatness and we miss him terribly. We love the time we spent with Mark whether it be hunting, fishing, throwing roost, family get together‘s, sporting events, there were always lessons to be had. When he smiled it lit up the room. Mark was an incredible man he taught us all so many things in life.

Mark was a wonderful, sweet boy. Even as a baby, he had a calm temperament and as he grew into a little boy, always took things in his stride. He loves his mama so much starting school was a big adjustment for him. He had a hard time keeping those baby blues dry. He cried for a solid week not wanting to leave his mama he was a true mama‘s boy and he was very proud of it. As Mark grew from a boy to a teenager, his parents could see the man that he would become- strong, steadfast and assured. He wrestled in grade school and soon after discovered motocross, which became a good incentive to keep his grades up. It only took locking up his dirt-bike up once to see a GPA of 3.5 and above. He excelled quickly in In the sport making it clear to The world mini championship, with nerves of steel he fell asleep on the starting line. Who does that? Probably only Mark. He continued his motocross career all the way to the pro level. He participated in some Canadian Nationals. Shortly after he choose another path. He met Robin and then became and insta family with three beautiful kids, Te’ya, LJ, and Phoenix. Soon after Mark & Robin welcomed two more children into the world, Kristina and Mark the third.

He devoted his life to his family and the love he had for them shined through in everything he did. If he wasn’t working he was right by their side. Markie was always there anytime we needed him. He always tried to set a good example. He was a humble man.

Along the way he became the worlds greatest uncle to Noa, Hunter, Ryder, Liam, and Bella. There was never a time he wasn’t there for them. He loved them in a way that left us all in awe. As he loved all children. He always had a house full of kids. With lots of love for each and every one of them. Making multiple trips to the cove to go swimming, the beach, the wildlife safaris, rock climbing, hunting, fishing, hiking, camping, the love and attention was always focused on the kids. Simply put, Markie was just great dad, boyfriend, brother, son, grandson, uncle, nephew, cousin and friend.

He was employed at BNSF as a Carman where he enjoyed the job he did and the co-workers he worked with.

He also helped at Riverdale Raceway and Woodland Motocross Park doing cat work on the track. He always was a helping hand. Mark and his family also ran the Bunkhouse Grill & Espresso concession at Woodland Motocross for several years. Markie always had a playful heart, as you can see he is wearing motocross googles doing track work.

From his sister, Kristina: to write this in words is impossible to do, he meant so much more than words can express. Markie was my best friend. The best brother a sister could ask for. He was always there for me. He was just a complete blessing to everyone he knew. He filled our lives with so much joy and happiness. HE WAS always there to help us, always there to help guide us, always there is what he was. He had the patience of Job and a heart of Gold. He got along with everyone, even if he didn’t agree with them. He was a beautiful example of what a man should be. He took in so many people without hesitation when they were in need. He never judged, just loved. He was just a good , good man. Pure goodness.

Best Friends Forever…

How do you try and put all he was in words? Its impossible. He was and is so loved by so many. He will never be forgotten and he will always be cherished and missed. He was funny, kind, genuine, loyal, steadfast in his beliefs and his love for God, country, and family. He was not just an uncle he was so much more. He wasn’t just a brother he was also my friend. He never let me or my kids down. HE ALWAYS SHOWED UP. Always willing to help. He was the comfort I needed in any storm. He was brave. He used to always tell me “worry won’t fix tomorrow’s problems”, oh how I wish I could hear that one more time. I will love you everyday until we meet again.
My brother was the kindest man I’ve ever known. He was my rock throughout so many struggles in my life. He was an ear that always listened but never judged. He was the helping hand for anything I may need. He was my brother he was my friend and there hasn’t been a second that has went by that I haven’t wished I could see him again. I still need him more then he’ll ever know but for now
If Roses Grow in Heaven
If roses grow in Heaven Lord
Please pick a bunch for me.
Place them in my brother’s arms and tell him they are from me.
Tell him that I love him and when he turns to smile, place a kiss upon his cheek and hold him for awhile.
Because remembering him is so easy, I do it everyday.
But there is an ache within my heart that will never fade away.
Ill be looking for you among the stars, and each dawn’s pastel sky, and whisper words of love to you, but I can never say goodbye

From his Mother, Carol: Mark was the best son a parent could ask for. God truly blessed us and anyone he ever met. He was a shelter from the storm to those in need. He always had his arms open wide. He loved endlessly. To him God was first, then family, and friends. He believed in doing the right thing and being a man of God. He was a ray of sunshine in the darkness and a sunrise in the morning light. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends. I love you blue eyes go rest high on that mountain. Until we meet again.
We walked together, you and I,
A mother and her son.
We had hopes and dreams for tomorrow, But tomorrow didn’t come.
We walked together, you and I.
We talked, we laughed, we loved.
We shared so many happy times, and for that, I thank God above.
We walked together, you and I, I wish we had more time
For all too soon it ended Leaving broken hearts behind.
And even though I miss you,
More than words can say,
I Thank God that I Got to walk with you, Every moment of each day….

From his Dad, Mark:
An Eternal Memory of A Much Loved Son
This is for someone wonderful as loved as one could be for you were everything in life you meant the world, you see
And sometimes life can be unkind when hearts are torn in two, but nothing ever could compare to the pain of losing you
But all the love you left behind, forever will live on and so until we meet again rest peacefully, dear son

From all of us:
The next time that I meet you will be at heavens door.
You’ll be there to meet me and I will cry no more.
Ill put my arms around you and kiss your lovely face
And then this broken heart of mine will fall back into place

Rest in Peace Blue Eyes,
love you infinity x infinity.

Psalms ~ Chapter 23

1 (A Psalm of David.) The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.

2 He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.

3 He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.

4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.

5 Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.

6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.

The Lord’s Prayer

Matthew 6:9 – 6:13

9 After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.

10 Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as [it is] in heaven.

11 Give us this day our daily bread.

12 And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.

13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.

A PRAYER FOR THE LOST

A PRAYER FOR THE LOST. MAY YOU FIND JESUS CHRIST IN YOUR HEART AGAIN. 😇

Dear Lord Jesus Christ, so many beautiful lambs have been led to stray falsely in your name. They have been told to be selfish and to wish for worldly things from you. They have been tricked into giving away the blessings intended for you. Forgive them Father, they know not what they do. They need your guidance now more than ever. 🙏🏼

Father, I pray with my whole heart that you help me to find these lost souls. Call to them to me, my Lord Jesus, and I will lead them to you. 😇

I will stow away my pride, I will take the blows of insult and hate in your name. But I will not fail these lambs if You stay with me my Lord. I am your faithful servant, and I will bring them home to you, no matter the cost.

Lord Jesus, let this message reach the hearts of the conflicted. Those souls confused by the version of the Word they have been taught by evil men. Show them that no one is good except for God. Show them that if you worship and man, that man will fail you. Men are broken. Men are sinners. You simply cannot trust them.

Jesus is perfect. Jesus is the way and the life. Turn away from your worship in a human being and turn your eyes to Jesus Christ directly.

Don’t turn away brothers and sisters, please hear me!
I beg for your heart to return in the name of the Lord. 🙏🏼

Take one step towards Him and watch your life change. He is the power and the glory forever, and ever. Amen. 🙏🏼

In Jesus name I pray that the Holy Spirit will bring this message to the hearts of your suffering lambs left in the wilderness to be coveted by wolves. Lead them home to you, Oh Lord. Lead them home to you. 😇

In Jesus name, I pray. ❤️

Amen 🙏🏼
